King Jonny Band was founded in September 2025 by guitarist Andrea Merlino. After two years spent recruting the best musicians in the North Bay, the band was finally ready to go, and started performing live only after just a few rehearsals. Based in Santa Rosa, CA, we perform all through the San Francisco Bay neighborhoods. Here's the current band roster:

Jonny "The King" Sanchez - After 15+ years of solo career as a Elvis impersonator, Jonny finally found a new home performing with this band. He is the frontman, the entertainer, the crowd pleaser, and his voice is perfectly identical to Elvis Presley! Come and see us to believe!

Andy Cater - We call him the "Maestro", because of his incredible talent as musician, composer, arranger, performer, and producer. His performance on keyboards is the musical secret of our show. He covers piano, organ, synths, horns, strings, and more. Andy has been part of countless projects, including recently the Nest Project, for which he wrote and arranged most of the music.

Dan McGee - A born and raised Sonoma County musician, he's been part of the local live music scene for decades. Besides playing bass, he's also an accomplished trombone player. His walking bass skills shine all through our show, supporting the band with his classic, deep bass sound and powerful grooves.

Larry Gitlin - After many decades touring the US as professional drummer, and sessioning in L.A.  recording drums for countless world-renown artists, he's now the backbone of the KJB. His precise, groovy and dynamic drumming is the binder for our performance, always bringing the perfect "swing" to every song.

Andrea Merlino - Born and raised in Lake Como, Italy, he moved to the Bay Area in 2002, pursuing his music career. He's the engine behind this show, organizing and directing the band, while on stage he's unleashing his rockabilly riffs and leeds, inciting the crowd. He's currently also playing with Steph Cali Band, The Vinyl Tap, and The Juggs.
